Nelevara is built for young creators and the adults who support them. This policy explains what information we use, why we use it, and the choices families and schools have.

1. Who this policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains how Nelevara (also referred to as Instinctech Suite) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when learners, parents or guardians, teachers, schools, and other authorised users use our websites, apps, learning studios, and related services.
A parent, guardian, school, or teacher may create or manage a learner account. Where a school provides access, the school may act as the organisation responsible for the learner’s information and its agreement with Nelevara may also apply.
2. Information we collect
We collect only the information reasonably needed to provide, secure, and improve the learning experience.
- Account and profile details, such as a parent or teacher name, email address, authentication information, learner display name, age range, and learning tier.
- Learning and creation data, including projects, code, artwork, robotics sequences, quiz responses, curriculum progress, XP, badges, attempts, hints, and portfolio evidence.
- Safety and review data, including parent approvals, teacher feedback, moderation reports, AI tutor interactions, and audit records.
- Subscription and transaction details. Payment card or bank details are processed by our payment providers; Nelevara does not need to store full card numbers.
- Device and usage information, such as browser type, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, pages used, diagnostics, and security events.
- Information submitted to support, surveys, competitions, or other optional activities.
3. Children’s privacy
Nelevara is designed for children and teenagers with adult oversight. A parent, guardian, teacher, or school must authorise a child’s access where required by law. We do not ask children to provide more personal information than is reasonably necessary to participate.
Child-facing community areas use display names, not a child’s real name or contact details. Publishing requires the applicable parent or guardian approval and moderation controls. Direct child-to-child private messaging is not provided by default.
Parents and guardians can review a linked child’s learning progress, projects, AI interactions, approvals, and relevant account settings. They may request access, correction, export, restriction, or deletion of the child’s personal information, subject to legal and school record-retention requirements.
4. How we use information
- Provide accounts, learning studios, curriculum, progress tracking, portfolios, and parent or teacher review.
- Personalise age-appropriate content, recommend next activities, and award progress, XP, and badges.
- Operate safety features, moderation, fraud prevention, account security, and incident response.
- Provide and improve AI-assisted learning. AI tutor interactions may be logged so authorised adults and safety teams can review them.
- Process subscriptions, communicate service messages, respond to support requests, and meet legal obligations.
- Analyse aggregated or de-identified usage to understand and improve the service.
5. AI-assisted features
Nelevara’s AI features are intended to guide learning, not replace a teacher, parent, or professional adviser. Prompts, responses, safety signals, and related context may be processed to provide the feature, enforce safeguards, and allow appropriate adult review.
Users should not enter unnecessary sensitive personal information into AI prompts. We do not use a child’s personal information for targeted advertising.
7. Legal bases and international use
Depending on location, we process information to perform our contract, comply with law, pursue legitimate interests such as service security and improvement, protect vital interests, or based on consent. Where consent is required for a child, we seek it from the appropriate parent, guardian, or school.
Information may be processed in countries other than the user’s own. Where required, we use contractual and other safeguards for international transfers.
8. How long we keep information
We retain personal information only while it is needed for the purposes described here, including providing an active account, maintaining educational records, meeting legal or financial requirements, resolving disputes, and protecting the service. Retention periods vary by record type and by school or family instructions.
When information is no longer required, we delete it or de-identify it. Backup copies may remain for a limited period before they are overwritten.
9. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including role-based access, authentication controls, logging, moderation, and secure service providers. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so users should protect their credentials and tell us promptly about suspected misuse.
10. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location and relationship to the account, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or receive a copy of personal information.
- Request deletion, restriction, or objection to certain processing.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Complain to an applicable data protection authority.
- Manage communications and device permissions.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service or law changes. We will post the revised version here and update the effective date. If a change materially affects children or how personal information is used, we will provide additional notice and seek consent where required.
